Let’s compare two pretend people.  We are going to compare Humber Henry and Prideful Paul to see who you would like to be more like.

HUMBLE HENRY HAS:

Eyes that focus on God and sees others the way God would treating them with dignity, worth, & respect.

A mouth that often talks about God, and brags on other’s accomplishments. “Did you see that awesome speed drill?”

Ears when people correct him because he understands that we are not all perfect and apologizes when he does something wrong.

Hands that maybe have a special card that honors a friend or relative above himself.

Feet that walk towards the needs of others and helps without being asked.

PRIDFUL PAUL HAS:

Eyes that like to look towards himself - occasionally seeing others, but only their mistakes.

A mouth that brags of how great he is and complains about others or talks about them in a mean way.

Ears that don’t want to listen to others and refuse to listen to correction always complaining that it is not fair.

Hands that fight with others or hit others when they don’t get their way.

Feet that stomp often as he demands his own way.  He things everyone should serve and be there for him. and him alone.

Who would you rather be like?  I think Humble Henry would be a much more enjoyable friend to have, don’t you?
